5 Rules of Marketing You Need To Engrain in Your Brain ASAP
I’ve spent 1,000+ hours learning and practicing marketing this year. Along the way, I’ve also learned how little most people know about marketing.
I’m going to share the 5 most valuable marketing lessons that you need to learn. If you’re a business owner, side hustler, or aspiring entrepreneur, you need to know the basics.
Understanding these marketing principles is a surefire way to grow your business, build an audience, and sell more stuff.
1. Sell it before you build it
People waste massive amounts of time and energy building things that no one wants. They end up building stuff that they think their audience wants — even though the audience never asked for it.
You can avoid all of that pain and suffering by selling your thing before you build it.
Why would you spend 100 hours building an online course that 0 people will buy?
You need to sell it first.
This works for books, courses, cohorts, SaaS products, or subscriptions.
Of course, you need to be ready to build it in case it does sell. You need to deliver the product to your customers relatively quickly after they buy it.
