I rarely watch videos on YouTube.

I’ll only go there for two reasons:

  1. Something’s broken and I want to fix it.
  2. I need to wear a tie and forgot how to tie it properly.

YouTube just feels like a waste of time, but I know millions of people love it. I do know who MrBeast is. I asked my wife if she knew who he was and she had no idea.

If you don’t know, MrBeast is the top YouTuber in the world.

MrBeast has multiple YouTube channels, he has the most subscribers, and he’s the highest-paid YouTuber.

He’s racked up over 25 billion views across his channels.

And he’s accomplished all of that before his 25th birthday.

I watched a few MrBeast videos in 2020, and follow him on social media. I knew he made some crazy videos, like a recreation of Squid Game, but I didn’t really know much about his story.

Last week, I decided to listen to a podcast with MrBeast and Joe Rogan.

It was fascinating!

MrBeast (aka Jimmy) shared how he got started on YouTube when he was 11 or 12 and became obsessed with it.
