A graphic, photo, or video grabs attention, but the words written on the page inspire action. The copy gives the potential customer the information they need and guides them toward the next step.

You need the copywriting portion of your sales page to inspire action.

I think copywriting is one of the most underrated skills for entrepreneurs. Most people don’t take the time to understand that the words they write matter. And mediocre copywriting gives your competitors the advantage.

Sure, writing great copy takes more time. But if it results in more sales and revenue for your business, you’ll want to do it the right way.

Here are three things that your copy needs to accomplish:

1. Highlights the customer’s needs

Your customers all have a different awareness level of their needs. When people see your ads, there’s a small chance that they’re actually shopping for your product or service.

When people are aware of their needs and want to do something about it, they don’t need you to convince them. They’re probably already taking action.
