Stop asking for him to respond or apologize
Today I read yet another article titled “We need to hear from Ev” or whatever.
First off, I honestly thought Ev was a woman. Turns out Ev is just short for Evan. Sorry about that, Ev.
More honesty: I don’t give a rip about the CEO of this platform. It has no impact on my life or my choice to write here. I write on Medium because I enjoy writing, I like the platform, and I see the potential to grow my business.
I don’t write here because Ev is the founder or CEO.
I’d write on Medium if Donald Trump was the CEO. I’d write here if Bernie Sanders was the CEO. I’d write here if a Nigerian prince was the CEO.
To me, it doesn’t matter.
That might be part of why I LOL when I see writers demanding a response from Ev Williams. Usually these writers are demanding a response because they’re unsuccessful.
Maybe they were successful at some point and lost it, or maybe they read one too many “I Made $14,873.65 Writing Two Articles on Medium” stories. If you were successful at one point and lost it, you need to learn how to adapt.
You will not find a single place on the Internet where you can do the same thing and expect the same results for years. If…
