If you’re on Twitter you might be seeing the latest trend: niche websites.

A (somewhat) anonymous account named NicheSiteLady started posting on Twitter a few months ago, and there have been a ton of copycats.

No one really knows if these people really have successful websites.

Apparently NicheSiteLady has a handful of websites that make $25,000 every month. That’s totally possible. Some people earn a lot more than that.

But it doesn’t happen overnight. She’s been working in SEO since 2008.

Unless you have a good deal of SEO experience, you shouldn’t expect similar results anytime soon.

If you learn the basics, you can build a website and monetize it to earn a few hundred dollars every month on the side.

➔ First, you need to find a good niche.
➔ Second, you need to commit to it for at least 12 months.

I always tell people to start with a niche or topic that they enjoy.
