If you’re spending any amount of time or money on SEO, you need to measure results.

There are plenty of scammy marketing agencies that lock people into a 6-month SEO contract and don’t produce any results. When they’re questioned, their excuse is that the SEO hasn’t kicked in yet.

The unfortunate reality is, they’re attempting to distract you from noticing the obvious lack of results.

It’s true that SEO takes some time.

You won’t go from 0 → 100 overnight.

That’s no excuse to not track the results of your efforts. Losing weight takes time, but you still need to check if you’re making progress or not.

Here are 4 simple indicators of SEO success.

Measure your traffic

SEO is about getting more traffic, but it’s not just about getting more traffic.

A proper SEO strategy will get your website ranking for more keywords, and get more people visiting your site.

The average website gets ~200 monthly visitors per page.

That doesn’t mean every page will get 200 visitors per month. Some pages will get 20, others will get 500.
