I Vibe Coded A Side Hustle Wizard During My Layover
I tried coding with AI a few times before. My first attempt was about two years ago when I tried creating a WordPress plugin with ChatGPT.
After hours of frustration, it wasn’t working and I realized if you’re not a developer, ChatGPT won’t make you one.
A few months ago, I listened to a podcast episode with the founder of Replit. He talked about the different tools people were creating with Replit, and made it seem simple enough for me to try.
I made my second attempt — aiming to create a web app that could give you landing page feedback. This attempt was a bit closer, but still not worth publishing. It seemed like the idea was too complex for AI coding and my very limited understanding of what wasn’t working.
My third attempt at vibe coding was during a 4-hour layover in JFK airport.
This time I created something that works. Not perfectly…but it works.
My idea was to create a simple quiz and give people relevant side hustle ideas based on their answers. My most popular article this year has been 3 Side Hustles I’d Start In 2025.
People love taking quizzes and love business ideas.
And I wanted to create something that wouldn’t create a security risk. The landing page feedback…
