Instagram might seem a bit outdated.

Isn’t TikTok the thing now? Isn’t LinkedIn the best place for organic reach? Isn’t Twitter the best place to grow an audience?

TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter are all great platforms.

You can build a big audience there, and get your message out to thousands of people.

But Instagram isn’t going anywhere.

Sure, millions of people spend countless hours scrolling through TikTok videos. But IG reels are basically the same thing. Most people repost their TikTok videos to Instagram.

And Instagram Reels get a ton of organic reach. I’ve seen over the past year that organic reach on Instagram is much better than it used to be.

One social media guru on Instagram shared how she grew her account to 90,000+ followers in 365 days. Today she has 97,900 followers, and she’s running a social media coaching and management business.

Instagram is doing just fine.

And people are still interested in growing their account.

Before I share Katelyn’s Instagram content strategy, I need to give you a fair warning that it’s not easy. If you want to grow quickly, you’ll need to create a lot of content.

I think that’s true on any platform.

If you want organic growth, you need to post a lot. I’m trying to grow my Twitter account and am posting 5+ tweets every single day.

You must provide value

You can’t post just to check a box.

You need to post something that’s valuable to your ideal audience.

Valuable content means that it’s either:

  • Entertaining
  • Educational
  • Encouraging

That doesn’t mean you need to constantly come up with brand new ideas. Instead, you need to learn the art of saying the same thing 1,000 different ways.

That’s exactly what Gary Vee does.
