Finding success on Medium is simple
Medium is a simple platform. You don’t need to take a course or beg other people to help you. There’s not a secret formula. You haven’t missed the train. And it doesn’t take 5+ years to get some traction.
Medium is simple.
That doesn’t mean it’s easy.
Simple means that something is easy to understand, not necessarily that it’s easy to do. Exercising is fairly simple, but it’s hard.
I joined Medium back in 2020 because I heard people were making money here. I quickly learned that making money wasn’t going to be as easy as I expected. I ignored the basic principles and didn’t do the things that success required.
I have 2,000+ followers now, but I didn’t start out that way. I built a small following from scratch by applying the basic principles that are all available for free.
As you can see, my first 15 months on Medium were not successful. With today’s rules, I wouldn’t be allowed in the Partner Program. That didn’t matter much because…
