I’m back with another article about your headlines.

I have some good news, and some bad news.

Good news: your headline determines the success of your articles.
Bad news: your headline determines the success of your articles.

This is good news because if your views are down or an article flops, the usual culprit is your headline.

That’s also bad news because you might’ve written a wonderful article that no one will read because your first sentence missed the mark.

The content is dead if the headline sucks

That’s what Tim Denning said in his latest article.

I couldn’t agree more.

A bad headline will cause a really great article to sink, while a really great headline can keep a mediocre article afloat.
